Succulent chicken Maryland pieces marinated in a sweet honey garlic sauce, baked until golden and crispy, served with steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken Maryland (supreme)
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 5 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 300 g Green beans
  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  3. Place the chicken Maryland pieces in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Rub the marinade into the chicken ensuring each piece is well coated.
  4. Cover the dish and let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes or ideally overnight for richer flavor.
  5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, basting occasionally with the marinades until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  6. While the chicken is baking, steam the green beans and carrot slices until tender but still vibrant in color.
  7. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  8. Sprinkle the chicken with sesame seeds before serving alongside the steamed vegetables.
